Buenas tardes. Mi nombre de usuario es: Veinteaños. Creé la entrada de Wikipedia de Berta Wilhelmi con fecha 14 de mayo de 2020. Al buscarla en Google no me aparece pero cuando me meto en Wikipedia y la busco desde ahí si que me sale con este link: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berta_Wilhelmi No sé si hay algún error o estoy haciendo algo mal. Andaba despistado y creía que la fecha era de un mes atrás, y ahora he visto que publicaste el artículo hoy mismo. Piensa que tienes que darle tiempo a las arañas de Google para que indexen los artículos, que no funciona automático. Ahora ya está indexado. Aprovecho la ocasión para comentarte que cuando dejes un mensaje tienes que firmarlo, simplemente colocando cuatro virgulillas al final, así: ~~~~ lo cual hará que aparezca tu firma al pulsar el botón de grabar. Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.

Recent changes

• If you forget your password you can ask for a new one to be sent to your email address. You need to know your email address or your username. You can choose that you need to enter both your email address and your username. This is a preference. This is to get fewer password reset emails someone else asked for. This is now available on all Wikimedia wikis. [9][10]

Problems

• There is a bug that creates problems for iPhone users with iOS 13 and Safari. If you use an iPhone to read or edit Wikipedia and see bugs on the mobile site you can report them. [11]
• Several wikis including Wikidata will be on read-only for a few minutes on 19 May. This will happen around 05:00 UTC. English Wikipedia will be on read-only for a few minutes on 21 May 05:00 UTC. This is for database maintenance. [12][13]

Changes later this week

• The Wikipedia app for Android can let users add depicts on Commons. The beta version used computer-aided tagging. This was removed to get more specific depicts. [14]
• There is no new MediaWiki version this week.

Future changes

• Graphs will be rendered in the reader's browser. This will use Javascript. Graphs will hopefully work better for everyone who uses Javascript. It will not work for users who don't use Javascript. This will not affect diagrams in image files. [15]
• Some CSS for the skins has been simplified. This affects div#p-personal, div#p-navigation, div#p-interaction, div#p-tb, div#p-lang, div#p-namespaces, div#p-variants and div#footer. They will have to remove div. You will have to update your gadgets, scripts or user styles. This is so we can use HTML5. [16]
• Some CSS for the Vector skin has been changed. This affects #p-variants, #p-namespaces, #p-personal, #p-views and #p-cactions. They can no longer use > ul. You might need to update your gadgets, scripts or user styles. See how.

trasladar artículos/categorías a nueva categoría

Estoy realizando un trabajo de "desambiguación" de categorías (Véase Categoría:Historia de Lima y Categoría:Historia del departamento de Lima) y me preguntaba si existe:

1. Una forma más lotizada de mover artículos de una categoría a otra, tipo Cat-a-lot de Commons.
2. Una forma automatizada de trasladar artículos y categorías de una categoría antigua con redirección a la nueva categoría sin tener que hacerlo manualmente.

Editar una plantilla

Hola! Quiero editar una plantilla pero no quiero meter la pata. Se trata de Plantilla:Ficha de libro, ya que un parámetro se llama "Año traducción", pero en el artículo se muestra como "Fecha de publicación". Kegelschnitt: los datos de la primera edición/traducción al español están agrupados y diferenciados en una sección propia con un encabezado claro (véase por ejemplo La historia interminable), por lo que se puede y debe asumir que todas las etiquetas de esa sección se refieren a la traducción y no necesitan más aclaraciones, ni la fecha ni el resto, y considero que tu petición no procede. Uso de números romanos en los títulos

¿Puede existir algún inconveniente técnico utilizando en los títulos los números romanos? Nótese que me refiero a los los símbolos especiales disponibles en el tablero inferior del modo edición en código y no a las letras del alfabeto latino.

Los ejércitos varios países estilan los números romanos para identificar a sus divisiones y/o brigadas. A modo de ejemplo, la V División de Ejército (Chile), con el uso del número romano se trasladaría a Ⅴ División de Ejército.

A mi parecer, el para buscarla se utilizaría la letra uve, entonces V División de Ejército sería una redirección al espacio Ⅴ División de Ejército.--Malvinero1 (discusión) 19:34 23 may 2020 (UTC)

Malvinero1, por si hiciera falta una razón adicional para descartarlos: el hecho de que existan solo doce caracteres, que representan del I al XII, introduce una arbitrariedad casi imposible de manejar: habría distintas combinaciones entre las que elegir para formar los números mayores o iguales que el XIII, y de hecho también podrían usarse combinaciones para muchos menores (II, III, IV, VI...) como alternativa al carácter único. En todo caso, es bueno plantear esta duda, porque en general el uso de ciertos caracteres Unicode «compuestos» merece más debate y una regulación específica. - José Emilio –jem– Tú dirás... 13:27 24 may 2020 (UTC)

Bueno, el hecho de que existan los doce primeros caracteres del I al XII —que no son los únicos pues también existen Ⅼ, Ⅽ, Ⅾ y Ⅿ— no debería ser más que anecdótico en caso de querer usar los caracteres unicode. En tal caso bastaría con usar solamente los caracteres simples (Ⅰ, Ⅴ, Ⅹ, Ⅼ, Ⅽ, Ⅾ y Ⅿ) para hacer todas las combinaciones posibles, dejando al margen los caracteres ya combinados (Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅵ, Ⅶ, Ⅷ, Ⅸ, Ⅺ y Ⅻ) que son meramente ilustrativos.

El caso de los puntos suspensivos es más complejo, pues hay aplicaciones como Microsoft Word que por defecto ya los reemplazan automáticamente, mientras que hay organismos que indican que son siempre «tres puntos consecutivos». Some CSS for Vector has been simplified

Hola!

I'd like to make a double-check about a change that was announced in Tech/News/2020/21.

Over-qualified CSS selectors have been changed. div#p-personal, div#p-navigation, div#p-interaction, div#p-tb, div#p-lang, div#p-namespaces or div#p-variants are now all removed of the div qualifier, as in for example it is #p-personal, #p-navigation …. This is so the skins can use HTML5 elements. If your gadgets or user styles used them you will have to update them. This only impacts the Vector skin.

On this wiki, this impacted or still impacts the following pages:

• Usuario:Eduardo_P/vector.css
• Usuario:M.herzinger/vector.css

How to proceed now? Just visit all these pages and remove div before these CSS selectors if it hasn't been removed so far.

Ausencia de enlaces interwikis

Desde por lo menos dos días previos, en la parte inferior de la columna izquierda de algunos artículos no ha aparecido la celda enlaces. Yo lo solucionaba recurriendo a una wiki donde existiera su equivalente, la mayoría en la correspondiente al inglés. Por vez primera, tampoco en esta existe. Se trata de Petiese [18]. Confío que podrán corregir esta utilísima función, al menos en la wiki en español, pues una tarea importante para mí consiste en efectuar tales enlaces a Wikidata. --Frank sin Otra (discusión) 06:19 28 may 2020 (UTC)
