Bot
editarI would ask you to replace {{bot}}
template with {{Ficha de bot}}
template, and fill in its fields with more information about your bot. Thanks. —invadinado (Cuéntame) 19:22 4 nov 2011 (UTC)
{{Ficha de bot}}
has several drawbacks in my point of view. I prefer the one that is already in place. Maybe{{bot}}
could be improved by adding few parameters like in other Wikipedias. Aside from this, I don't think it is a good idea to duplicate the{{bot}}
template, it is usually better to have only one template for one purpose. Nodulation (discusión) 22:25 4 nov 2011 (UTC)- What kind of drawbacks do you mean? Regards. —invadinado (Cuéntame) 15:36 5 nov 2011 (UTC)
- PD: If you don't mind, I'd like you to answer me on my talk page. Thank you. —invadinado (Cuéntame) 15:41 5 nov 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your explanations.
- Thanks again for your explanations.
Since almost all screens have an horizontal space bigger than the vertical space, the user page is full of blank space, see Usuario:ChessBOT. Important information should be at the middle top of the page. The bot template use the {{Metaplantilla de avisos}}.
- You have reason, but I thought tab format was the right way.
The template does not state that the bot can be stopped if necessary. This is a major drawback.
- You do not see it, but it exists (only admins see it).
One of the primary goals of the bot page is to easily enable a user to contact the operator. The template does not allow me to link to my home wikipedia. I don't want to regularly log in in the spanish wikipedia to check if someone has left me a message.
- This is something to improve. Meanwhile, it is possible to explain on your user page, or on «details» parameter.
The template does not explain what a bot is. I think that a short explanation is relevant for users that are not used to Wikipedia.
- ...but there is a link to Bot's page.
The name of the bot is in the title of the browser window and at the top of the page. It is unnecessary to add it two more times.
- It's right...
The template is complicated for a foreign user: there is a lot of parameters, and their descriptions are not translated in english. The bot template looks like all others 'bot' template.
- Now, they are translated in English. Thanks for the warning.
The number of edits are publicly available. It should be the operator's choice to display it or not on the bot page. Besides, the link to access to the user contribution is already available in the wikipedia menu.
- We have a template where appear editions' number of every user, so it is okay to show them.
- Above all, thanks for helping us improve, and a greeting from here. —invadinado (Cuéntame) 11:39 6 nov 2011 (UTC)
