- Puedes mirar en Special:MediaStatistics para ver qué tipo de archivos hay en tu wiki. [5]
- Hay una nueva herramienta que puede crear vistas previas de imágenes TIFF grandes. Esto incluye imágenes de más de 50 megapíxeles. La nitidez de estas imágenes también ha sido aumentada. Puedes hacer comentarios es Commons. [6]
- El Visor Multimedia tiene un enlace más claro a la página del archivo. También tiene botones para descargar, compartir y empotrar el archivo. Puedes alargar las imágenes tras hacer clic en ellas. [7]
Cambios de esta semana
- El 2 de octubre, los wikis de prueba y MediaWiki.org fueron actualizados a la nueva versión de MediaWiki (1.25wmf2). Los demás wikis excepto las Wikipedias serán actualizados el 7 de octubre y todas las Wikipedias serán actualizadas el 9 de octubre (calendario).

- Corregimos más errores del Internet Explorer. Si usas Internet Explorer 10, podrás usar el Editor Visual a partir de la próxima semana. Próximamente habrá soporte para versiones anteriores. [10]

«Love Me Harder» - Ariana Grande
editarHola! Como esto parece que acabara en guerra de ediciones vamos a discutirlo mejor por aquí vale? :-) Bien, entiendo perfectamente lo que dices eh, pero es que se ha confirmado de forma oficial, el vídeo ya ha sido grabado y sera publicado dentro de poco, Ariana ya la ha interpretado por primera vez... entiendo que no haya en iTunes una pagina solo para en sencillo, pero hay múltiples sencillos que se pusieron a la venta desde la compra del álbum, teniendo su buena promoición detrás. Un caso es «Adore You» de Miley o «Wrecking Ball», las dos son grandes singles y no tienen una pagina en iTunes como sencillo, excepto de WB en UK, pero a lo que me refiero es, que «Love Me Harder» es en tercer sencillo oficial, ya se puede comprar mediante el método que te explique, así que no es necesario que lo dejes así, yo no voy ha deshacer la edición porque podríamos meternos en problemas, pero te pido por favor que lo hagas tu. - Hay... pero te estoy diciendo que el vídeo ha sido grabado, ha sido anunciado por la discográfica, y si Ariana no lo ha anunciado a lo grande es porque no es necesario ha estas alturas, esperara a la publicación del vídeo y entonces... y repito, para que una canción sea single en iTunes no es necesario que tenga su propia pagina en la tienda, o caso «Dark Horse» de Katy Perry la tiene? o «GUY» de Lady Gaga? - You can now log into Phabricator, the new tool to track bugs. Create your account and add your Bugzilla email address. We are copying the bugs from Bugzilla. Bugzilla is still open. [18] [19]
- You will now get the VisualEditor newsletter in your language if someone has translated it. You can add translations. You can know about the next translations by joining the translators list or asking Elitre (WMF).

- 5% of logged-out readers are getting pages from servers that run the HHVM tool. HHVM should make pages load faster. You can also test it as a Beta Feature. [22]

- You can join a wiki project to help tools read file information. It will help people reuse files.
- See how to fix metadata. You can fix it by adding markers to templates and adding templates to files.
- You can see a list of files missing machine-readable information on your wiki.

- Developers fixed a security problem. If you use Internet Explorer 6, you won't be able to log in any more. You should use a newer browser. [27]

Problems
- There was an issue with files from Commons on October 21. You could only see those with names between 140 and 159 characters by visiting Commons itself. T74389
- There was a problem with cut and paste in VisualEditor in Firefox. It was fixed quickly. T74164

Software changes this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will now come to Wikipedia sites every Wednesday, instead of every Thursday. [30]
- The new version of MediaWiki (1.25wmf5) has been on test wikis and MediaWiki.org since October 23. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from October 28, and on all Wikipedias from October 29 (calendar).
