• Other Noteworthy Stuff
  • We just crossed 14000 active users (over the last month). Thank you all!
• Did you know?
  • Newest properties: Gray's Anatomy 1918 subject, Total valid votes, inverse of, NLP identifier
  • Newest WikiProjects: Food, UK and Ireland, Suisse
  • Newest gadgets: ExportClaims, Mark as patrolled from list of changes
• Development
  • The sitelink section has been reworked. This will go live on Wikidata on Tuesday. The sitelinks will then be slimmer and they will appear in a sidebar on the right side if there is enough space.
  • More performance improvements when parsing an item page, ~%15 faster for some pages :)
  • Titan was selected as the graph DB to implement a Wikidata query service running in production
  • Fixed adding links to ru.wikinews.org which was broken by its change to HTTPS-only
  • Worked on redesigning the header area (label, description, alias, in-other-languages box)
  • Polished d:Wikidata:Data access and d:Wikidata:Database download. Could still use some more work though if you have time.
  • Enabled PHP_CodeSniffer with Mediawiki rules and some additional ones to make us aware of more code issues
  • We no longer log some common 404 errors in the exception log

  • Usage tracking will likely be deployed on February 2 on Wikidata. This will not be user-visible. It just means that pages using data from arbitrary items get updated/purged when the data changes. Arbitrary access is being tested at Test Wikidata and testwiki:Test Wiki. An example is at testwiki:Kitten on arbitrary page.
  • Assigning items on Mix'n'match will now make that change on Wikidata for you automatically

página borrada

Hola, quisiera entender porqué me han borrado la página Joseph Remesar por violación de Derechos de Autor. Yo soy precisamente el autor y estoy tratando de crear una pagina biográfica. Todas las obras mencionadas son propiedad intelectual mía - la página es simplemente para enlazar las referencias a mi nombre y a mis obras que otras personas ya han creado en la Wikipedia. Es posible que haya cometido alguna infracción por ser está la primera vez que creo una página completamente nueva, pero me gustaría saber como hacerlo. Gracias

Hola, Joseph. Borré el artículo porque el texto que contenía lo hallé en varias páginas web, las cuales no especificaban si las licencias de sus contenidos eran compatibles con las usadas en Wikipedia (Creative Commons Compartir-Igual 3.0 y GFDL). Aparte de esto —motivo suficiente para eliminar la entrada—, la redacción empleada no era propia de una enciclopedia y no habían referencias a fuentes fiables que evidencien una cobertura sgnificativa del tema (en este caso, su persona). Hola Juan Carlos. La adición de ese enlace externo, en mi opinión, no significa un aporte al artículo, que no versa sobre el secado de la madera en específico sino sobre el material en general. Además, al ingresar a la página web, la encuentro repleta de publicidad, por lo que no la veo apropiada para incluirse en alguna página de este proyecto. La presencia de un enlace en Wikipedia no resultará en más visitas para el sitio web, debido a que este proyecto utiliza el atributo nofollow.
