Una OPSpec chart o Carta de especificaciones operativas es un instrumento gráfico que permite encontrar en forma rápida y concisa el mejor método de control para garantizar los objetivos de calidad de un análisis clínico.
Las OPSpec charts son una herramienta derivada de un modelo de planeamiento de control de calidad, con el objetivo de evaluar la precisión, exactitud y método de control de calidad (QC) necesarios para satisfacer los criterios de las pruebas de desempeño (proficiency test criteria PT). Estas especificaciones habituales de funcionamiento, se presentan en la forma de una "tabla de especificaciones de operación", que describe los límites operacionales la imprecisión e inexactitud cuando un nivel deseado de garantía de calidad se proporciona mediante un procedimiento de control de calidad específico.
