La siguiente lista de revistas científicas no pretende ser exhaustiva, sino contener las publicaciones más prestigiosas de la actualidad en cada uno de los campos analizados. Se ha tratado de seleccionar como mucho diez posiciones en cada campo, seleccionadas siempre por su índice de impacto.​​

No debe confundirse esta lista con la de revistas de divulgación científica dedicadas al gran público, como es el caso de Investigación y ciencia, que no son listadas aquí.
